Auto Mode (Pro)
After you enable it, each newly confirmed payment gets a receipt automatically. Payments already confirmed before you turned Auto on are not backfilled, so you avoid a sudden backlog.
Automation
Automatic GoCardless receipts mean a branded PDF is generated and emailed when GoCardless marks a Direct Debit payment as confirmed — no daily send calendar to maintain. GoCardless does not email customers a branded PDF receipt by default; Receipt Maker’s Pro Auto Mode fills that gap.
Failed, cancelled or pending payments do not trigger automatic sends. You can still send manually anytime, or snooze individual customers.

Automatic sends stay off. You choose when to send from the Customers page or dashboard — ideal when every receipt should be a deliberate action.
